Road to Akdeniz Villas

Hi all Sarigerme fans! we have a house near Sarigrme and wondered if anyone knows the latest on the golf course and road leading to Akdeniz Elveri? cheersx

Hi Tash ,
Well, the road to the Akdeniz Villas from Osmaniye(sarigerme) Village, will no longer exist in the very near future, there will be one way in to the Villas ,and this is from the Fevziye Village direction (if not this year, %100 in 2009 )....Thats what I have heard study

Thanks for answering-im dissapointed at that news we were promised the road would be made private and we would be given passes,do you know this for sure?

I am pretty sure thats what i have heard , however ,this may be a rumour only ...
Let me get back to you on this , I do know someone called Apo , he has been dealing with some property in Akdeniz Villas on behalf of English couple i know ,apparently he is an honest man , so what i am going to is ; will get his contact details and ask him ...

Thanks for taking time to find this out for me,we are not back in Sarigerme untill May and its frustating not knowing what we are going to find there!. Fortunatly our friends flew out yesterday so hopefully we will have news from them also. Look forward to hearing from you-thanks again, Tash.

I heard that there will be a new road to the Akdeniz Villas for sure , this new road will be behind the Hill where the Golf Course going to be.as you know the present road at this moment is within the Golf Course.
So, you will be still driving trough sarigerme to the Akdeniz Villas ...Apperently they started to work on the green course layout ,and trying to finish before the season starts ..However saying that , no one is %100 sure ,some says completion make take place next summer season..

Hi all
Just trying to find the propper layout of the Sarigerme area,

Am i right by saying the Akdeniz villas are to the northeast of the palace, tropical hotels.
I have been looking at Google earth and think I have found theese villas (one big pool with many villas).
Is this the area the golf course is being built .

any feedback will help feed my hunger for this area.

You are correct , 199 Villas with a swimming pool in the middle ...
Golf Course will reach till next to AKDENIZ VILLAS (cooperative Villas)

Hi, I also own at Akdeniz, and we did have a problem with the road to Akdeniz, where they were going to close the access road to our villa's, but our committee has negotiated the right of way to our community and the road will be resurfaced this year.

I will be visiting on 10th March and will update on my return.

Hi everyone, I have just found this site. We too have a villa on the akdeniz complex. We were last there in
September 07 and there were signs then that they might be preparing to close the access road. Small manned huts had appeared at 2 or 3 places on the road. I have since been told that the road is now going to stay open, I hope so, it would be terrible to have to use the other way in.

Hi everyone, I am in Akdeniz now and have been for a walk along part of the route of the new road from the Akdeniz end. The road starts alongside the last little farm nearest the Akdeniz complex, and climbs up the side of the hill, doubling back on itself a couple of times, and then heads off along the top of the hill in the direction of the Sarigerme road before decending again to emerge by the green hut on the entrance of the current road.

There does'nt seem to be much activity on there at the present time, but it is only sand and mud at the moment so maybe they are waiting for it to settle.

The road will be ok if you use motorised transport, but could be a problem for a cycle.

There is a lot of activity on the golf course at the moment, with a fleet of trucks carrying huge quantities of
hardcore and dumping it on the reed beds to fill them in. So it looks like we may have a finished golf course in the not to distant future.

Hi Tash, nice to hear from you again. The wall seems to be OK, and the surface drainage system is doing its job well. The ground in area 2, which is normally very soggy after a lot of rain is quite dry now. And we did have a lot in the first two weeks. The weather is really lovely now though, and nice and warm.

There is lots of activity going on at the site of the golf course by the river. Huge piles of earth have been
dumped on top of the previously laid hardcore. At present it is completely blocking off any access along the river bank to the sea.

According to the minutes of last years meeting, the golf hotel had agreed to keep that road open. We will just have to hope they keep their word.

Not much else happening, no activity on the new road right now.

we also own a villa in ak deniz and we were wondering if any-one has any updated info on whats happening. we will be going out in july and dont know what to expect. what villas will be getting knocked down and what about the owners.any info appreciated.

Just to ket anyone know who doent't already the flat road to Akdeniz has now been closed of so access is via only over the hill or through Fevziye way
