Hi everyone. I have just booked a holiday to the Alinn Hotel arriving 29th of this month Very Happy I love Turkey but have never been to this area. The reviews for this hotel are very good. Does anyone know if it compares favourably with the 5 star hotels offered by the big tour operators? We have stayed at the Xanadu in Belek (three times), the Asteria in Side and the Rixos Bodrum.

I did a search for adult only hotels in Turkey and this is the one that came up. I love children, having two of my own and a grandaughter, but last year there were such rude, noisy Russian kids running wild everywhere that we decided to go for the Alinn.

I will be grateful for any comments,

Thanks,

Beth

We have been back from the Alinn just over a week. Norfolk John is right about overbooking. We were lucky, but nearly everyone we spoke to had spent their first one, two or three nights at the Holiday Village due to overbooking. Only Brits had to put up with this - they never did it to the Germans or Russians!

We had a night flight on the way back and paid our agent for an extra night's stay. At lunchtime we returned to our room to find that we had been locked out. We were told to vacate the room as they needed it for new arrivals. We had been checking up regularly throughout our stay to make sure that we could stay in our room until departure, but suddenly it was unavailable.

I will not be staying at the Alinn again. It is a very nice hotel in lovely surroundings but is very poorly managed. We were supposed to be ultra all-inclusive, but unless you like to drink watered down cooking wine or pay 7 euros for 'proper' wine from a bottle or a Gordon's gin and tonic,it is not up to five star standard by any means.

Compared to the Xanadu which is admittedly more expensive, or the Rixos Bodrum, which is about the same price, the Alinn is very poor indeed.

sorry you had a bad stay at the alinn, as you say a nice hotel , but so poorly managed. we would not risk staying again, sounds as if it has realy gone down. we are going to akyaka in september, so i hope this hotel is ok.
