There must an inexpensive way of booking rooms at the Caria

Post  Jane on Sat Dec 29, 2007 2:45 pm

Stayed at the Caria Holiday Resort last year for the first time and will be returning again in July 2008. Flights are already booked, however, trying to reserve accommodation the least expensive way as I am a single parent. The cost varies enormously depending on who you book with!

Have emailed the hotel direct twice but never received a reply, even emailed Sarigerme Tours through their web site and they never replied either!

Does anyone know of a cheaper method or am I resigned to having to paying the inflated prices charged by the UK web sites?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Kind regards

Jane sunny

Caria Hotel

Post  shellparkes22 on Sat Jan 19, 2008 10:13 pm

Hi Jane

Myself & my husband have just booked for September this year as my brother is getting married out there.
We booked through travel republic . co.uk - for flights & hotel is was £516 for the 2 of us which is really good.

Any information on the hotel would be great, my brother is staying at the Holiday village with first choice - how far is this from Caria?

Hope you get your hotel booked soon.

Regards
Michelle Cool

How Far is Caria from Holiday Village of First Choice

Post  kedoo on Sun Jan 20, 2008 10:33 am

Caria is right up on the Hill , takes about 5 minutes via Caria-Shuttle to get to Village Sarigerme ..From the Village of Sarigerme by Taxi is few minutes ..OR you can take a Taxi from Caria to First Choice Holiday Village (PALACE and TROPICAL) and i think it would cost you about £4 ..
Hope this helps ... study

Hi

Thanks for your reply, it's not as far away as I thought.

If anyone has any further information about Caria resort or Sarigerme I would love to hear about it, pictures too.

Thanks

Info on Caria Holiday Resort

Post  Jane on Mon Jan 21, 2008 1:08 pm

Hi Michelle

I stayed last July and had a wonderful time. Our room, unfortunately, was at the top of the complex, which is situated on a hill and meant lots of steps. Let's just say I came back fitter than I arrived!

While the accommodation is not luxurious the facilities are immaculately clean and if you are holidaying in September you will have no problem with queuing for dinner/drinks finding a sun bed - tended to be a problem when I went.

There is a free shuttle bus to the village and the beach. Beach bar provides good food and drinks. Found all staff very helpful and friendly.

Word of caution - do not take sterling travellers cheques. There is no bank and the hotel cannot cash travellers cheques. I believe the staff can cash euro cheques at a local petrol station, however, could not find a way round cashing a sterling one. The bank is some considerable distance away (two bus rides). The village has a cash point during high season and hopefully it will still be in situ come September. I will be taking predominately cash. Most take payment in Turkish, Euros or pounds!

I ran out of physical cash before I realised I could not get my hands on same which only slightly marred the holiday and meant we spent more time on site and down at the beach - but suited my children well.

If you have not booked your transfers, I found the cheapest to be through "transferonly.com" - check them out.

The is an excellent holiday for the price and I am sure you will have a great time.

Any other questions, just give me a shout.

Regards

Jane

Transfer from Dalaman to Caria

Post  shellparkes22 on Tue Jan 22, 2008 7:41 am

Hi Jane

My transfers are all sorted, got them through Sarigerme Tours - really good price.

We have been to Turkey 6 times & we always take English money & Lira, never travellers cheques.

How you get your hotel booked soon.

It sounds really nice.

Thanks for the info.
