Hi Greg

My husband and children went on the jeep safari last year in Altinkum and they thought it was great. Think they do more or less the same sort of thing which is get extremely wet and see some beautiful scenery.

Jeep Safari

Post by emmyclemmy on Sun Feb 24, 2008 5:40 pm

We (me, hubby & kiddies age 8 & 5) did the jeep safari last september with Sarigerme Tours. Lots of water fights - great fun. We drove up hills, through rivers and followed very bumpy roads. We did a number of stops including time at a secluded beach for a rinse off! The lunch was great - it was at a restaurant over a river where the brave (or foolhardy) could jump in. The drivers are very professional, and seemed to enjoy water fights just as much as us.

The bit we liked was that at some of the villages they know when you are coming and wait with water hoses and give you another soaking.

You do get filthy and tired, but the sights, experiences and overall enjoyment is well worth it!

jeep safari

Post by emmyclemmy on Tue Feb 26, 2008 11:49 am

Hi

I would say so, our two enjoyed it and the driver was a little bit more sedate on some of the more exhilirating parts (probably because my daughter decided to scream for fun.....). He was often checking to make sure we were all ok. I found that on some of the rougher parts we held on to them - as it is a bit bouncy. My two actually fell asleep late afternoon; bumpy bits and everything - at least we were spared further soakings!

Highly recommended and take the biggest water pistol you can find!

We done the jeep safari last year (me + partner + 7 year old) and all enjoyed it so much, the drivers were great although a little mad lol and the tour guide was good too giving lots of information and interesting facts and that. It is suitable for the 7 year old but you do get dusty and wet but it is very enjoyable and an experience i wont forget and we are definately going again when we return in 2 weeks time. As for the ammount of people they normally provide more than one jeep if there are a lot of people i know in our jeep there were 4 adults and a child all with plenty of room and the other jeep had 4 adults in it. So i shouldnt think it would be a problem i also see some bigger jeeps from other jeep safari providers that looked like they seated more people (8-10) i think. i dont know if sarigerme tours has the bigger ones?

I totally agree, I wish I had done this trip earlier so we could have done it again. Totally amazing day from start to finish. Picked up at the hotel at 9am and back at 6.30pm. We laughed from start to finish. One tip take a plastic bag for your camera and a water gun or bottle of water for your ammunition. Don't want to go in to too much detail as I wouldn't want to spoil the surprises in store.

great trip

I agree this was a great trip (when did you go lyn? - we went Sat 31 May). Wear old clothes or something that you don't want to keep, also take the hotels towels (you can exchange your towels in the evening for clean towels).
