bakers ?

does anyone know if i can pick up a birthday cake anywhere local ?, its my fathers birthday whilst we are out there in may and it would be nice to surprise him.

Look out for PASTAHANE
Pastahane's are (from french pâtisserie) bakeries that specializes in pastries and sweets . You can find these shops in Ortaca and Dalaman as well as in Dalyan ...If you are staying in Sarigerme and want your cake delivered to your Hotel the next day it may come costly OR you can collect the next day (if you place your order early in the morning they will bake it the very day) . Alternatifly you can order it with one of the Restaurants in The Village e.g Dolphin Restaurant , Paradise Restaurant ect..... I know for fact that the guys at the sarigermetour are good with organizing cakes during the excursions , becomes great suprize for the birthday person when suddenly 40 people singing a happy birthday during / after the Lunch when the birthday cake appears from nowhere with candles ( i think its free service)
Or you can ask the Dolmush Drivers who are operating on ortaca route to order and collect it for you ( see Emre at sarigermetours who will be more then happy to arrange / translate it for you )
