Its my mothers birthday on the 8th may, the day she travels, so i was just wondering if you could suggest something for her birthday. Also if anywhere does a birthday cake or what the turkish equivilent is?? And also if there was anywhere in the village to get her a traditional turkish birthday card. Any help or comments on this would be nice. MAny thanks and see you in a few weeks

Hi, there are a few nice bakers in Dalaman who would prob help you with a cake..if you dont want to explore yourselves ask a rep at the hotel to help you,you dont say how old your mum is but a nice day out would be the 12 island trip its lovely but book it in the village not the hotel!!havnt seen cards in the shops but im sure someone will help you if you ask..hope this helps,Tash

There are no Birthday cards available in Sarigerme . On my husbands birthday last year we went to Dalyan trip , I asked Emre at SarigermeTour to arrange a birhday cake , and guess what , on our lunch break at the restaurant suddenly 40 people started to sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY ...this was a nice suprize for my Husband ..Cake was free too ...

We returned from Dalaman 1 week ago and there is a fantastic cake shop on the main shopping street. All cream and chocolate and yummy stuff! Chocolate eclairs too!

How convenient will be to go all the way to dalaman in the heat & come back ..
go back again to pick it up ...come back ... scratch
I would ask the hotel rep ,or suprize during excursion ..

birthday

I'm sure the pastry shop in the main street (Merdane's) would have a cake already made. They always look very special and if you brought a few candles from home, there would be no problem. With regard to a card, you must bring one with you 'cos you cannot buy a card at all here. Turkish people do not "do" cards at all! I make all of my own.

I hope this helps

I also have a similar problem with my daughter's 4th birthday. We will be staying at the HV from the 22nd may for two weeks. I was wondering about a cake do you think the first choice reps will help me out or the hotel? Or is there a good day trip we could do thats child friendly? We have 3 children under 6!
Many Thanks Helen.
