spirits and beer

Post by doglover on Thu Jan 31, 2008 5:34 pm

Hi Greg, The local beer will be efes, it's a lager thats a bit like stella. My husband certainly likes it, a bit too much sometimes! Laughing The wines are a bit of an aquired taste, especially the cheap ones. They don't do many spirits here i dont think, the locals all drink Raki which is an aniseed drink like oozo in greece. They also have a brandy called Lara which isn't bad and a vodka which i can't remember the name of, which isn't bad. I'm not really much of a drinker, but I think I've got it right. If not I'm sure others will tell you.

I went to the holiday village in 2006 , you get efes ,becks and fosters on draught all free, but they hardley ever had any fosters left.
Spirits you can get free are vodka, raki, 5 or 6 flavours of schnapps and thats about it . you pay for all other major brand spirits.

hope this helps

Hi Everyone ,

I believe that Lagers in the Holiday Village are half water and half water ...Efes Beer is realy good , tastes great and is strong...You feel like drinking a ice cold Beer in the Sun ,mmm...Thats why from time to time i used to sneak out of the complex into the Village and sat in Steak House with my ice cold Efes Beer , votka and snaps are not bad in the Hotel ..BUT THE BEER/LAGER IS BIG PROBLEM Suspect

now I must go back to my Vodka
