Our first time in Turkey

We ( Me, my good lady, and our 2 nippers ) are heading to the holiday village next week.

It will be our first trip to Turkey - can anybody proved a list of do and donts for us?

I am going to the HV on the 24th July with my husband, our 8 year old son and my husband's 15 year old son. It will be my16th time to Turkey but my first the the HV.

Do treat the Turkish people kindly. They are lovely, very friendly and love children
Do tip them
Do try the Efes beer, it's lovely
Do try vodka with sour cherry juice
Do go on a boat trip if you are just going to do one trip. They are great fun.
Do make sure you take plenty of sun cream - it is very very hot in Turkey (and from what other people have said in posts about the HV the suncream on sale in the HV shop is very expensive)
Do make sure that you have plenty of fun
Do remember to take £10 per person as an entry visa into Turkey. They do not accept £20 or Scottish notes
Do go into their shops if they invite you in, you will be offered a drink accept this - they will not be expecting you to buy anything - they are being friendly.

hi i go again in a month, its my 6th time and each time i say i'm not going back cos i want to try more countries and we always end up back in turkey, its fab and addictive and the turks are great, i just love it and i'm sure you'll love it too, cath. p.s a boat trip is a must!
