Post  jashington on Sat Apr 12, 2008 4:53 pm

Hi,

my name is Jamie. I am planning a trip to Serigerme in Sept 2008 and was wondering if you could tell me if there is anything i should know about the Holiday Village Turkey? ie building work etc. I will be visiting with my 4 children, wife and two neices.

Thanks,
Jamie.

Hi Jamie
You will have a wonderful time here, it's very family orientated. If you read the reviews on trip advisor you will get a good idea of what to expect. The answers to questions on this site helped me before we went.
It does get chilly at night and mozzies are only a problem if you dont spray !
Food - full english available (except bacon) cereals, toast and fresh fruit. Plenty of choice for main meals even for fussy eaters. Snack bars are what you would expect. Toasties, burgers, pizzas ,chicken nuggets, salad
Pools- Lots! Orange side has 2 large slides and then another pool with 3 and a pool with a couple for toddlers. Blue side has 4 slides, jacuzzis and pool with small slides for toddlers.
High wires and ten pin bowling on blue side. Games room air hockey, pool video games and internet on both sides.Daily quizzes around pool, water games, table tennis.Hotel photographer snaps away day and night.
Evening entertainment - kids disco, bingo and main show in ampitheatre and then end the night outside with a rep singing or games.Turkish night including camel rides and market stalls. Tshirt/pillow designing about £12
Towel hut opens 9am for towels used at pool. Lots of English TV channels. BBC and ITV. A hotel is being built next door but not a problem. Hope this helps Lyn

Hi Lyn

where abouts are the jacuzzi suits? are they near the hotel being built or in the center of the hotels?

They are in the centre of the complex. Its a quieter spot but still close to all the action. Go in either direction and you have the large pools with the slides.

The hotel is being built behind the ampitheatre on the blue side ( Pegasus) I heard that they are not allowed to build during the holiday season as it effects tourism but I don't know how true it is. I didn't see any work being carried out when I went for a nose.

They are in the middle so could be on either.
The only difference the colour makes is the restaurant you have breakfast and your evening meal in. The food is the same in both. You can use any of the snack bars. Both sides have their own ampitheatre Lambada orange and Clowne blue, with a different show on each night so you can decide where you want to go. This is where the kids village time is held. After the main show it's all out by the bar area for either a game or entertainers singing. The night finishes with a magic envelope where you can win whatever is in the pot.
They have a holiday stars talent show so get practising

Hi Angie

Yes you can use both sides at all times. The only thing you have to stay on your allocated side for is breakfast and evening meal in the buffet restaurant. You can use any pool, snack bar and any visit any entertainment venue.

Be prepared it will still be hot in September take plenty of lotion with you it is expensive to buy in the hotel.

Re: Holiday Village in Sarigerme

Post  DaveBhoy on Tue Jun 24, 2008 8:49 am

Lyn,
Thanks for all the info so far - just a quick q if you can help.

Is the "towel hire" hut open early enough for us to collect towels for the Jeep Safari / Dalyan River trips, etc, or would we be safer taking our own towels for this ? Just aware of problems folk have had with luggage weight, and if I can ditch anything at all then its a bonus...

Cheers,
Dave.

The hut opens at 9am. we were picked up at 9 for the jeep safari.
Tip:- Go on the jeep safari with Sarigerme Tours, pack a bin bag and take it with you on the safari it will come in handy keeping towels, cameras etc dry.

You wont need a towel each so may be just take a couple. The air when you are driving will dry you off

If you want to know anything else just let me know

you can pick up towels the night before so you will already have them i think it closes about half six, unless youve got really old towels i would advise u not to take your own as you can get really dirty and wear old clothes

Should Turkey get a result against Germany tonight, I'm looking forward to watching the Final on Sunday - would I be better heading in to Sarigerme, or staying in the HV ?
