Vaccinations

Hi,

Travelling to HV in August (myself, hubby and two kids-5&2).
Could anyone please advise if they have had vaccinations prior to going here on holiday. Not quite sure if we should get them or not.

They recommend hepatitis A, typhoid and Diptheria(which comes in a tetanus injection).
Typhoid lasts 3 years
If you have a booster 6-12months after hep jab it will last approx 20years
Tetanus lasts 10 years

The kids should be uptodate with tetnus, dip,polio. They will just need hepA and Typhoid. You should get them free from your doctors.

I'd book in plenty of time as they sometimes have to order them in. We had ours for Egypt last year approx 6 weeks before going.

Just been for tetanus today as diptheria is apparently a new one you are recommended, they change what you need from time to time, suppose if theres been any reported cases of disease.

had mine yesterday:

Hep A (have booster 6-12 months then covered for 25 yrs)
Typhoid (lasts 3 yrs)
Diptheria/Tetanus/Polio (one injection - lasts 10 yrs)

We didn't have anything!
