mozzies & medicine
Hi all. We have just booked to go to hv in 2010 - long time away
. I am just interested if you guys who go in 2009 still have an issue with mozzies as our kids suffer with asthma, and one really suffers with allergies, so would be realy useful to know what to expect.
Also, does anyone know how we transport all the prescription medicine we have to take with us, as we have heard stories of issues with customs.
All help, advice would be greatly appreciated.

Re: mozzies & medicine
The chemist in Sarigerme is very good - and can issue prescription drugs. Cost is reasonable too.
I automatically take antihistamines when I remember as I get bitten by all sorts of insects - even in the UK! (2 years ago in the UK, I got bitten in Feb - and no one else around me got bitten!)........ I just buy the cheapest ones from boots and take them as soon as the bites start. It doesn't stop the bites, but it stops me from getting itchy and reacting to them. Antihistamine creams are very good too. Again I carry these with me wherever I go, in case I forget to take the pills. (I tend to start as soon as I get the first bite - and then stop after 10 days, only restarting when I get bitten again etc.etc. etc..... )
