was anyone there between 22 May and 5 June?
I was chatting to a couple of people before I went but as there are sooo many people I never saw them (well not to my knowledge anyway). If you were there, what did you think and where were you (palace or tropical)? Missing the place already but a least the sun has come out here this morning - shal have to boost my tan!!!
Re: was anyone there between 22 May and 5 June?
Hi Kerry
We were on the orange side. I loved it. Glad I took a cardie though it got a bit chilly at night didn't it. We sat in front of the snack bar by the blue and white slides. I've avoided getting on the scales think I've put on about a stone ! I loved the pizzas and from where we sat I could see them coming out of the oven so knew when to get them nice and hot. Sounds a bit sad but i liked getting in at night and having english telly to watch and waking up to GMTV.Lucy the rep was our rep last year in Ibiza.
What did you think of the room ? We were in a family room but only had one wardrobe and one cupboard. I could imagine this being a problem with a large family but didn't bother us.
I'm hoping to go back at the same time next year. I was going to try the one in Egypt but it's got terrible reviews thought they may have got over their initial problems but doesn't look like.

We were on the blue side. I love pizza as well but can't eat it - makes me ill. I must be the only person who lost weight - I think it was a few hangovers which always makes me sick! I ate sooo much and the food was so lovely - I don't think I ate the same thing twice (well apart from the freshly made donuts!). We had a kids den which was very spacious with 2 massive wardrobes opposite the bathroom - more than enough room for us 4. The girls had a chest of draws in their room as well. They had bunkbeds so you could comfortably sleep a family of 5 or even 6. I liked having english tely - watching the weather forecast and think hah hah its lovely here, watched deal or no deal a few times but then channel 4 froze and was replaced by another channel. With regards to Egypt - my friend is going in August (I did ask her if she was mad) so I will find out what thats like because I was interested in going there. I would definately try a holiday village again.

Sounds like the kids dens were alot bigger. We knew it was time for tea when the Weakest Link finished. Made the time go quicker when we were getting ready having it on in the background. I don't like the new FC website, the prices haven't gone up that much next year. One of the girls I was talking to who works for FC said they were doubtful that the HV in Cyprus would be ready on time for the start of this season so it will be interesting to read the reviews as the season progresses. I'll keep my eye on it. I like to book early so will probably make a decision in the next month or two. We went to the HV in Majorca, very nice but no comparison with Turkey. I wont go the HV Lanzerote because it has salt water pools.
We were there 22may-5june!
A big Hello to everyone. What a gorgeous place! We stayed in a kids den(shame about the view of the new hotel being built) but we did'nt notice any noise so it was fine. The maids worked all day and night on cleaning the rooms and we left them a nice tip when we left. We were only given one card for the door, air con etc on arrival so i went and asked for another one so we kept our air con on low when we left the room in the day, it was nice to come back to a cool room after all the wonderful sunshine. Was it just me or was it hotter than i thought it would be? We had to go out and get new suntan protection(brought in Sarigerme town of course). We stayed on the blue side and ate outside for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the food was great and plenty of it. It was stress free by the fact we did'nt have to que for anything so the children were sorted out first then paul and i could get want we wanted. Again was it just us or did it seem quiet? I mean you could get a sunbed and everything unheard of in my book! The first choice team worked really hard and were great with all ages. We did leave the HV
a few of times and go into the town. Every one was so friendly we cant wait to go back.
It would have been nice to have seen and chatted to the nice people i chatted to before going to the HV so a good tip for the future would be to arrange this in advance.

kids den
We had kids den on blue side as well. We were on the other side looking over gardens, what was your room number? We were 3132. I agree everything was great, lovely to eat outside - we found inside to cold!
Kids Den
Hi Kerry,
We were in room 3002, it was lovely and big and we had to have a travel cot up in our's as well! I miss the sunshine sooo much and the pool's. We were by the little shallow baby pool most day's. My girl's miss the evening disco and Games. Scarlett was really taken with Louise and had her photo taken with her loads. Hannah loved the kids clubs and went in twice a day! Never a problem getting into any sessions.

oh to be there now
We've all got the holiday blues. My kids only went to the clubs a couple of times, they are 7 and 10 and just enjoyed mucking about in the pools and doing their own things, we were either by the beach pool or the large paddling pool with the slides. My older daughter had some swimming lessons and did rooky life guard school. She also swam 800 metres (when she got there she couldn't even to 25!).
Sarigerme
Wow what an achievement. The swim kids instructors were fantastic from what we saw, my lot did'nt want to do it and then when we only had 3 days left said i wish we had done swim kids! Did you go into Sarigerme at all. We got friendly with Atilla a respected jeweller in the town he was very nice. Although he did hi-light the fact that not to many tourists come into sarigerme from HV, he said he had been trying to get a free bus service going from the resorts into the town which would be great for us but maybe not for the taxi drivers!
sarigerme
Yes we went twice, the first time to book our trips with sarigerme tours then again to visit the market. Amazing all the shop owners wanted you to sit with them for apple tea! Oh I wish I was there now - at least the sun is shining here.

Hi
We went on 29th May till 12th June. We stayed in blue side. We had 2 interconnecting rooms so we had loads of space. Rooms 1016 &1017.
I think we all went at good time as it started to get really busy on our last couple of days. The food was great, we didn't have any problems with anything. Wish I was back there now
