blue lagoon and the tlos ancient

Post  Blaupunkt on Wed Jul 30, 2008 10:00 pm

has anyone tried the blue lagoon and the tlos ancient city trips ? are they worth doing and good to take kids on?

also i have a slight query about the jeep safari outing...

i have just been reading a review about it on another website who went in this trip and said it was very good, however, they also said that at the restaurant where you stop for food they ordered 2 rounds of drinks and 4 water pistols and it came to £100!! this doesnt seem right can anyone else confirm how expensive the "hidden extras" are on this or any other trip ?

We got back from HV yesterday morning - had a brill time all round. We went on the jeep safari absolutely fantastic - wet and wild. A definite must do trip. The restaurant you go to is lovely - the meal was really nice and included in the price of the trip. You only pay extra for drinks ice-cream, water pistols etc. Between the three of us we had 4 beers, 2 cokes and bought 1 very large water pistol and it all came to about 55 lira - about £30.00. The water pistol was 30 lira but we got it down to 25 lira. If you have your own and have room in your case take them - cheaper than buying out there.

Hope this helps - any other questions please ask.

thats fine Smile fly out there on the 7th and i think we will be doing the jeep safari trip and mud baths, but the blue lagoon and tlos ancient city looks good also, maybe we will just go on them also and see.

i know some of the big water guns can be expensive and i guess if your buying alot then the it will up the price some what, its just how it was worded on this other site made me wonder.

on the trip(s) are soft drinks free with the meal(s) but alcohol you have to pay for or do you have to pay for all drinks ?

We did mud baths & blue lagoon last year - really good trips - you'll enjoy them.
The blue lagoon in olu deniz is lovely - if you get chance to shop there - shops only 5/10 mins walk away - or get a taxi only 4/5 lira - you will have more choice and cheaper.
We did jeep safari, 12 island boat trip, fethiye market this time. They will tell you meals included but all soft and alcoholic drinks you pay for. I presume you're staying at HV.
Fill the water bottles that will be in your room fridge with juice and water from the dispensers in the complex when you go on trips - this will save money on drinks.
We also did 2 hr speed boat trip booked on beach - brilliant! - Hope you have as good a holiday as we did! Very Happy
